Justin Jones

I have been writing for as long as I can remember, though I began taking it seriously when I was in high school. I loved reading fantasy novels, and I spent a lot of time talking about them with a close friend. One day, he suggested that he might be able to write a book. I agreed, and we both set out on that journey. I think he made it about 200 pages, but my endeavor turned into my first novel. FORLORN HOPE was published in 1994 by Northwest Publishing, Inc. Unfortunately, the publisher folded before the novel had a chance to get out there. I had already written the second book in the series, STOLEN HOPE, but decided to put everything aside for a while. I had recently married, and children soon followed.

 

I have spent the last fifteen years teaching English and Creative Writing in the Atlanta area, and I have now, finally, turned my attention to writing for young adults. I am currently seeking representation for two novels. RIPPERS is a science fiction adventure that will appeal to fans of THE MAZE RUNNER, LEGEND, and REBOOT. THE DREAMER is a gritty fantasy adventure. If you loved GRACELING, it will be right up your alley. Hopefully, both of these titles will soon be available in stores.
